Hello to everyone,
I would like to be included in this also. But like all of you It also depends on what is going on at my job. I know that I have a wedding on Oct 28th.

Subject: [Astronomy] Idea to consider
Hi Everyone,
For the last several years, I've considered doing a short weekend camping trip in fall for some astrophotography and observing. Leave late Friday afternoon . . . return Sunday afternoon.
The national forest at Halsey offers dark skies within about 2-1/2 hours of Hastings. The Sandhills night sky combined with what is often the clearest and most comfortable viewing conditions of the year . . . could be spectacular. I've heard the organizers of the Nebraska Star Party have considered doing something like this in the past.
New Moon weekends this fall are September 23-24 and October 21-22. The first offers a better chance of warmer weather, more daylight to set up tents and a last chance at summer sights; the second allows a better look at wintertime sights and the prospect of Orionid meteors. I'd be game for either . . . assuming I can take off Saturday (usually a work day for me).
If anyone is interested, feel free to reply or post a message to the listserv to discuss.
