  Hello everyone,

Since we have delegated much of our discussion to the listserv, I thought we should start talking. First, as promised at the last meeting, here is a list of the newer videos I have:

  The Universe:
    a.. Secrets of the Sun
    b.. Mars: The Red Planet
c.. The End of the Earth: Deep Space Threats To Our Planet
    d.. Jupiter: The Giant Planet
    e.. The Moon
    f.. Spaceship Earth
g.. The Inner Planets: Mercury & Venus
h.. Saturn: Lord of the Rings
    i.. Alien Galaxies
j.. Life and Death of a Star
    k.. The Outer Planets
l.. The Most Dangerous Place In The Universe
    m.. Search for ET
    n.. Beyond the Big Bang
  The Planets:

Please e-mail your first 3 choices for now and I will attempt to establish an overall selection of 3 videos and we will use them in that order.

We will be back at Rowe in April. Let's try to do some solar observing before watching any videos - if we watch a video. If we have guests/new members and if they have questions, let's answer them. Dan, don't forget to bring your H alpha filter if it looks clear.

We need to continue our discussion of ideas for promoting ourselves to the public. Past suggestions have included advertisements and scholarships. Are there more comments in this area? I haven't forgotten the club banner. I already have plenty on my plate for this summer, but I will make it a priority to get it done.

We also need ideas on how to spend our "resources" in a way that benefits the entire group - not just some of us. This could include an item that could be checked out by any member and used.

I need to get to a meeting. These things will give us a start. This is what the listserv is for. Let's hear from you.
