Fw: [Astronomy] Is everyone OK?

We are all fine here in Kearney; tree branches here. Son, Charlie had his
flag pole and cement pulled out of the ground. One apartment complex had
major damage, one car turned upside down on couple others, brick chimney
and other stacks toppled, lots of evergreen trees pulled out by roots,
play ground sets flattened, and of course the Buffalo Co. Fairgrounds
building crumpled, etc. My cell wasn't ringing but taking messages, so
Charlie came over to see how we were doing. Trees blocked many of the
streets so you had to take " a long way " to get around Kearney. With no
electricity, there was no stop lights working and many drivers that
flunked kindergarden 101 taking turns. Had a rainbow and start of a
second one as storm went to GI. Glad everyone else is OK. Kay W.

Hello All,

I'm just checking to see if those of you hit by the tornadoes/severe
storms in Kearney and elsewhere are OK. The radar images I saw were very
unpleasant to look at, particularly along the I-80 corridor between
Kearney and Grand Island. I was especially concerned for Mark U. and Bob
R., who looked like they were in the worst of it. If you aren't busy
cleaning up and can send a message out, please do so.

Thanks!
Dan
