Subject: Excerpt from SECA listserve
1) The following is an excerpt from a letter that an applicant
recently received from PIA (about Technology Plans):
The creation date is the date you finished writing your Technology plan.
It is not the date you started writing it. It does not have to be the
date final revisions were made after consulting an SLD-Certified
Technology plan Approver; however, the current version of the Technology
plan must be created in sufficient detail to support the services
requested on your Form 470, and the creation date must be prior to the
date your Form 470 was filed.
Just as a reminder, the State will be requesting bids for Wide Area
Networking (WAN) services and statewide transport as part of the Phase 2
RFP. Participating K-12 entities that have not updated and filed their
technology plans to reflect this expansion of service must do so prior
to the date that the State releases the RFP and posts the Form 470.
Projected Timeline for Phase 2:
* 09/01/07: Deadline for Letters of Agency to CIO's Office
* 09/01/07: Start work on Phase II RFP (ESUs 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15,
16 & Higher Ed partners)
* 09/15/07: Deadline for Technology Plan Creation
* 10/10/07: Form 470 Posted by CIO, Release RFP
