[Powerschool] NSSRS & HAL

I have populated the fields Gifted and Talented to be yes for all our High Ability students.  When I ran a verification report from NSSRS for STudnet Group Counts, my High Ability Learner numbers were all set to No.  The field I populated in PS was State/Providence NE ---- Student Information - New ---- made the field "Eligable for Gifted and Talented" to be set to YES.

Is that not the correct field that it is pulling that information from?

There are lots of factors that can cause this to happen.  It's hard to just know what it might be.   I know its a long wait sometimes but calling powerschool support can sometimes be the best and quickest in the long run.  Rather than second guessing, let them find out and show you.  It may cause them to be a bit busier, but this may be the only way we can communicate to PowerSchool the importance of good technical support.

As others have pointed out, dates can be a big factor.  Students enrolled outside the term dates.  Other things to consider may be  FTE's not marked, enrollment codes not set, enrollment codes set but not cross-referenced to state codes.  Like I said, take a deep breath and give PowerSchool a try.  They will be able to quickly troubleshoot the problem and show you how they found the problem.  Also, because they have access to your server and can look to see what is wrong, where as we are just guessing.
