I have found this site on the PowerSchool Users Group (Yahoo Group). I have
not had a chance to download any of the forms or set up any of the custom
fields. It looks like good info though.

I keep asking if anyone has a way they can document immunizations, BMI, and
any other required medical information on their power school?

Good afternoon,
At the PowerSchool Sharing workshop on Thursday, we recorded the
following requests for topics to pursue in upcoming sessions:
Object reporting---creating new or modifying existing reports
How to develop a standards-based report card?
Excel training importing/exporting from PowerSchool
DDE -
Transferring assessment data---in and out of PowerSchool
Honor roll, downlists, and other special reports--calculations and
listing
GPA calculation, including special and weighted grading
We will be making plans soon for the next PowerSchool Sharing
workshop. If you have additional topics you would like to have us
consider, please respond to the listserv or let Bob, Graci, or
Melissa know in the near future.
Also, if you have people new in your district that need to know about
PowerSchool issues, you might check to make sure they are subscribed
to this listserv to receive updates and information.
Thank you.
Bob

Why can't our principal see the averages in our gradebooks? He can only
see individual grades for individual assignments. We will need to run a
downlist on Tuesday as well, and can't access any info for the principal
with accumulative grades.
Thanks!

For reasons I can't begin to explain, all of my elementary students
have an entry day for this year that is actually the day after the
day school started. Therefore, any absences for that day won't show
up (can't even put them in) and it will mess up our day count, I'm
sure, later on. Is there a quick and dirty way to change everyone at
once? I thought about using the Student Field Value command, but I
wasn't sure which field to enter. None of them looked like the right
thing. Someone please help me!!!
Thanks,

Select all the students you need to change and then select the
function "Student Field Value" from the pop down menu box. Type in
EntryDate in the first field and the date you want it changed to in
the next field. After you submit, it will give you another screen
showing what is presently in the field.

We don't seem to be able to print attendance reports from Power Teacher. We
are using the web based version. I tried to look on the help menu and it
sounded as if you should be able to select options, but when we try to print
it comes up with a blank report, no students, etc. Any ideas?

Maybe I should ask how or where do teachers print an attendance report for
their classes?

With all the new schools coming on to PowerSchool, it's been amazing to
see all the questions and answers being posted. What a great group of
people. I want to commend the veteran users for taking the time to
answer the newbie questions. Many are printing them out and putting
them into a 3-ring binder for later reference.
FYI - if you want to see the archives of the postings to PowerSchool
listserv, go to http://lists.esu10.org and select PowerSchool in the
list. On the PowerSchool listserv page, click on the link to the
PowerSchool Archives near the top. You can then sort the postings by
Author, Date, Subject, or Thread. Then you'll see the individual
messages, which can be opened.
To post a message to the listserv, sent it to
powerschool at lists.esu10.org. If you reply to a message and you want it
to go to the sender as well as the group, click on Send to All.
At the PowerSchool NSSRS meeting on Thursday, the veterans suggested
utilizing the online support as much as possible. It's much more
extensive than Centerpoint's was. If you find yourself on hold with
customer support, start looking through the online support. You may
actually find the answer before someone actually talks to you. You can
get there by going to http://support.powerschool.com. You'll need a
login and password. Follow the directions on the page to log in or to
get a login and password.
For those of you just converting or new to PowerSchool, hang in there.
This is a great group of people to work with. They are so supportive and
helpful. They've been there before and will help you get through this.
May you truly relax this Labor Day Weekend. You deserve the break for
your extra "labor" in this. It'll all be there when you return next
week, so just breathe deep and take it easy for a couple of days.
