[Powerschool] Weighted GPA

Hi Group,
My Middle School admin wants to use weighted courses to determine GPA  
and Honor Roll. He's uncertain how to weight them. If core curriculum  
classes receive full weight, should they be 1, and then classes like  
music and PE be .5?

Any input would be appreciated.
