Fix to Java Error

I also had the same problem when I upgraded the last three times. And told the support site person so. He walked me through what needs to be edited to avoid the java error.

You must go to the c:\powerschoolpremier\data\config\dalx directory
Use notepad or wordpad and open the dalx.props file
On the 4th line change the 512 to 256 save and exit
Then relaunch powerschool

Subject: [Powerschool] Upgrade to 5.2.0.3

I'm curious if anyone else has run into problems when upgrading from 5.2.0 to 5.2.0.3 (released last Friday). Our PowerSchool would not start again after the upgrade, returning a javastart error. Tried everything with java to get it to work, but no go. Support fixed it this morning, they said it was a config file that should get updated but didn't, and that it may have been left out of the latest upgrade. So if you run into that error you'll have to call support, don't waste your time uninstalling and reinstalling java as the knowledgebase suggests.
